Real Conservas, also known as the Royal Spanish Canning Company, traces its roots back to José Peña, the great-grandfather of the current owner. In 1920, José Peña pioneered the canning of fresh seafood at the docks of Cambados.
 
As the oldest artisan conservas company in Galicia, Real Conservas holds itself to the highest standards. Their signature product, the Real Conservera Baby Sardines, undergo a meticulous process. Each sardine is delicately filleted and cleaned by hand, then lightly cooked in its tin and adorned with olive oil before sealing. This entire journey, from the Rías to the tin, spans only a few hours, resulting in unparalleled flavour and texture.
